In light of the AI dubs happening with at least a couple Amazon-streamed anime, I think it would be terrific for Critical Role to throw their weight around with Amazon, especially with the recent launch of their brand new show which WILL have it's viewership affected by fans dropping their Prime sub

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

On the other hand, I cannot do my job effectively if a writer isn't there to explain their reasoning for the lines and where it came from to a director, who then translates that into vocal technique to the actor. This is a very collaborative process that requires human interaction and intention.
If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.
