Zack v. Zia 2: The Rematch
Update: Apologies I was due to be on Have I got News for You this week. We've now postponed until 2026.

To go on Question Time and speak up for migrants right now feels vital.

Say what you will about the Lib Dems, from a purely campaign strategy perspective I've got nothing but respect for this seat/vote share ratio.

Their apparent desire to beat the ever-living sh*t out of the Tories electorally might be the only good thing to come out of the coalition.
Nowcast Update - Green's vote share surpasses Lib Dems, as Labour hits new low.

RFM: 350 (+345), 30.2% (50 Maj.)
LAB: 87 (-324), 18.8%
LDM: 75 (+3), 13.0%
SNP: 44 (+35), 2.7%
CON: 38 (-83), 17.6%
GRN: 23 (+19), 13.5%
PLC: 7 (+3), 1.1%
Oth: 7 (+2), 3.1%

I cannot emphasise this enough:

WE SHOULDN'T WANT JEREMY CORBYN IN THE GREEN PARTY

At the moment, we are the party of hope and the future. He is symbolic of failure and the past.

Let's not spoil a good thing by bringing Corbyn and his people into the fold.

(Happy for Zarah to join though ❤️💚)

VERY funny that Labour are being pointlessly cruel and haemorrhaging support from their base and yet none of what they're offering is ever going to be enough for the people whose approval they're seeking, WHO could have predicted it

The 💚Greens💚 pull within 2 points...

... and that's BEFORE Shabana Mahmood got Tommy Robinson to endorse the Labour party 🤮

It won't be long until the streams cross ⌛

Something about these headlines always intrigues me:

They imply that the centre-right neoliberal status quo has some inherent logic to it that the left does not. Yet I've never seen an explanation for why 'logical' politics has consistently failed? Does it really "add up" if it never works?
And today it's the turn of The Times to try and patronise us all.

Every single day the right wing establishment tries to close ranks.

And every day we are growing.

Anyone else still feeling like Zohran winning was a dream? I cannot internalise good things happening!

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

Breaking News: Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old state lawmaker from Queens, will be the 111th mayor of New York. He will be the first Muslim to ever lead the city, as well as its first South Asian mayor and the youngest mayor in more than a century.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I listen most days, and unless I've missed it, you haven't done an hour on the Greens since Zack was elected. Surely now another one is deserved?

Time to lower bills. And tax billionaires.

Once again Keith Starmer shows that he has the reverse Midas touch 😂
NEW: Lucy Powell wins the Deputy Leadership race, albeit by a closer margin than anticipated. Another fresh blow for Keir Starmer- who now has as his deputy someone he dismissed from his cabinet, only weeks ago.

Two big takeaways:

1. Labour are FINISHED!

2. For the Media that are obsessed with Reform, you're going to have to notice that it's actually the left that are the on the up in this country.

Congratulations to Plaid and to the people of Caerphilly. Can't wait to see Greens replicate this 💚
Chris Mason: Extraordinary Caerphilly by-election humbles Westminster's big beasts
Plaid Cymru win 47% of the vote in a record turnout, while Labour and the Tories manage just 13% between them.

My new favourite pastime is watching Labour MPs Instagram reels.

They are so cringeworthy it's embarrassing!
