The US banning TikTok may be the single greatest propaganda win for China in history. Americans and Chinese are talking on Little Red Book, and Chinese people are horrified by how poor Americans struggle. Chinese people are literally weeping about Americans selling plasma.

The Amazon Pharmacy ads were terrifying enough. Today I got an Amazon Medical ad. We all know not to do that, right? Amazon needs to be stopped.

I have a wild idea: what if we could just go to the closest appropriate medical office and get care without worrying about bankruptcy? This idea brought to you by a wild chase for an in network urgent care.

Cafe has a morning show on. News: Biden forgiving some student loans of people in public service. Big Lots permanently closing all stores. Starbucks workers on strike. I feel like we are so close to a tipping g point. What will it take for a bunch of us to demand radical change?

Just started resting "Abolish Rent" and I'm making incoherent noises of emphatic agreement at just about every sentence. I don't wanna give the library back this book! Gonna have to buy it.

Just enrolled in Healthcare Marketplace coverage by printing out the list of 73 plans and throwing a dart at it. Seemed like the most informed choice I could make.

Since learning that many Native Americans observe Thanksgiving as a day of fasting and mourning, I have struggled with the social norm to wish everyone a happy Tg and discuss plans. It feels inauthentic not to mention how uncomfortable I am w Tg, and it feels mean to tell people why I'm uncomfortabl

Me: Omgg why to I feel like an anxious ball of shit?!

Also me: doomscrolled until I had 10min to be presentable for a video call with my only slightly useful psychiatrist, dryer's broken again, neighborhood pushing surveillance cameras and cooperation with police, no yoga in weeks. Y feel bad?!
November 18, 2024 at 6:24 PM

For starters, it was in my mailbox and doesn't appear to be mail, so that is def one tactic.

fascism is stopped when enough people say one of two things:
1) "nah, I'm not doing that"
2) "nah, you're not doing that"

a lot of people want to imagine how they'll say the second thing, but you should *really* start practicing the first one

Contrasts. I searched the library for the top result here, billed as feminist filth and fuckery by Karla J Strand in a reading list on Ms., and it shares a title with what I assume is the opposite in all ways.
