And I’ve seen hundreds of cars blow through red lights as if the rules don’t apply to them? What’s your point?

Holy shit, after over a year of job hunting and picking up odd contract work, I just received an offer for full time employment! Maybe not my dream company, but it’s a great offer and I’m excited! Now, time to schedule 7 MRI’s with my new health insurance!

I guess I shouldn't be *surprised* but it is making my head spin that the feds have shot two people, with live rounds, killing one of them, in Chicagoland in recent weeks, and in both cases they were very clearly found to be lying about what happened, and essentially nothing is happening about it.

Chicago may be in turmoil at the moment, but being able to walk a block to pick up some of the best sushi ever, will keep me here for a long time.

Heck yeah, I’ll have to start brainstorming some plans!

I was pretty much strictly using double flared plugs for the past two years, it’s fine once I acclimate. Very much digging the stackers look right now!

They can definitely handle it, I was at 14mm so I’ll make my way back slowly. I’ve been digging my multiple hoops and ear cuffs lately. I was just foolish trying to throw in a steel double flare 🤦‍♂️

Truth! I left mine out for a week and tore my right ear putting them back in. So now I get to downsize 😞 not sure if I’m going to bother going back to where I was.

Honestly didn’t think of that! There has to be some serious power storage going on in the basket! Still looks so fun!

I wish I had access to a bunch bike or similar so I could do this!

Holy shit I was just told that I got good feedback from a job interview on Monday, I thought I had completely bombed it. Moving on to the third and hopefully final round.

Ohhh I like that! And it was the truth!

I have 6 different bikes in my basement, sometimes I just don’t want to carry around a lock, or I want to zip around on an e-bike. Bike share is awesome, and I don’t put up with people dragging it.

I rode a divvy to meet a friend out last night, and someone we were talking to told me that it wasn’t “real biking”? This person rode their bike to the bar, and was trying to shame me for using bike share. It was so incredibly weird.

twenty five years ago today, on September 25, 2000, the United States men's basketball team was playing France in the Sydney Olympics

with sixteen minutes left in the second half and the USA up 69-54, Vince Carter stole the ball

between him and the rim was 7'2" Frederic Weis

Yikes, what a terrible article. I get that it’s supposed to offer ways to stay safe but maybe, preface these “tips” with why they are even necessary. Drivers are more distracted than ever and our infrastructure is hostile towards anyone not inside a metal cage.

I generally don’t take Tylenol, but only because I like the candy shell of Advil better.

What we call things reveals a lot about our priorities and biases.

Graphic noting that people walking are called “vulnerable road users” as are people cycling. While “vehicles” are considered neutral and normal. But what if drivers were called “dangerous road users?”

So, when he does die, which he eventually will, he most likely will have negated any extra time gained by all of this nonsense. Might be time for a new hobby…

Scientists say land subsidence — a so-called “slow-moving hazard” — is causing Chicago’s urban center to lose around two millimeters of elevation every year. In other words, Chicago is slowly sinking.
Chicago Among Major US Cities That Are Slowly Sinking: Study
