When Governor @govpritzker.illinois.gov says that the feds will have to "go through me," what he means is that they'll drive back and forth through an illegal row of barricades and Illinois State Troopers illegally performing traffic and crowd control for them.

"Anyone in the street will be arrested" is a plainly anti-Constitutional order given by a state trooper who is presently violating Illinois law (5 ILCS 805/15) by providing unlawful assistance to federal immigration operations.

Someday we'll have a talk about how motonormativity (car brain) has led to this commonly held idea that you, on your feet, can be ordered not to use spaces that are your right to use. You have a right to the street, and assembling on it is 1st Amendment activity.

it looks like every state trooper in illinois is hanging out in the parking lot across from protesters.

a mix of regular troopers, riot cops, and swat officers, in addition to cook county sheriff’s police and local cops.

a group of cops stand in the street. behind them, dozens more cops and vehicles are in a lot.

A reminder that providing equipment for federal immigration enforcement is explicitly illegal under 5 ILCS 805/15, however @govpritzker.illinois.gov is too busy being a TV boy and the IL Attorney General Kwame Raoul holds an objectively incorrect interpretation of that law.

after weeks of feds brutalizing and arresting protesters, local and state police have heavily fortified the area with concrete barricades.

the broadview mayor last week signed an order limited protests to designated areas from 9 am to 6 pm.
