CBS burying the 60 Minutes CECOT story is exactly why the Ellison family shouldn’t be allowed to buy Warner Bros. Discovery

Love that everyone in the Midwest is constantly making commentary about lines/crowds when they go to a big public event or to a popular store. Like yeah dude a lotta people think the Christmas market is cool

i think this is exactly right. she was hired to be a regime censor but that requires a bit of real skill and finesse to pull of successfully and she has neither.
Weiss is simply not talented enough to pull this off.

Friends, I don’t like the phrase “didn’t have x on my bingo card.” I think it means “I didn’t even foresee that as a possibility” but I see it used a lot to kinda mean “I would not have told you that would happen”. One is about not knowing an option existed, the other is more like an opinion

Don't give me a death glare if I pick up the mango from your tree that fell onto public property. If your plants produce seeds that land on public property they're free, that's the rule, if you didn't want that to happen you should pick it up yourself or not grow a fruit tree next to public property

Bari Weiss is an actual, unqualified diversity hire AND white supremacy hire at the same time
really cannot be emphasized enough that bari weiss has literally never done journalism. i don’t mean that in the pejorative sense. i mean that in the “has never performed the job she was hired to do” sense
One explanation for Bari killing the story is that she did so as a public act of fealty to the administration. But another is that, as an inexperienced journalist, she doesn’t understand that a refusal to go on the record is a kind of comment in and of itself

I’m seeing folks saying that Nicki’s career is over now that she’s making a hard right pivot and I think the truth is that she would not have wanted to make a hard right pivot if her career was already so over she needed the attention

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

I know people are rightly going to be worried about child health, their own health. But we also can't afford this. Like, John Hopkins did an estimate (next link) and every measles case during outbreaks cost on average $43,000 to treat. That kid who got tetanus cost $1 million dollars to treat /1

U.S. plans to stop recommending most childhood vaccines, defer to doctors
The plan, which is not finalized, suggests children get fewer shots and shifts to a model telling parents to consult doctors to make their own vaccine choices.

Today is the deadline to release the Epstein files. The DOJ is refusing to comply.

This is about justice for survivors and holding participants and co-conspirators accountable.

The Epstein Files Act is the law, not a suggestion.

Release the files. Immediately.

You merely adopted the grift! I was raised in it, molded by it.
Ben Shapiro: "Today I want to talk about something even more important — how to discern those attempting to speak truth from frauds and grifters…The conservative movement is in danger from charlatans who claim to speak in the name of principle but actually traffic in conspiracy and dishonesty."
