Anyone looking outside their window knows that climate change is here. The real question is why any responsible leader would try so hard to convince us otherwise.

The Kimmel suspension is a much bigger deal than you know.

It's really about a growing alliance between Trump and the companies that own America's local TV stations - like Nexstar - to turn local TV into Trump propaganda.

1/ Let me tell you the short story. It's chilling.

NEW: What’s new with national renewable targets? Not much!

At COP28, every country agreed to work to triple global renewable capacity. But many countries have yet to update their 2030 targets..

Deep-sea mining must be paused until its environmental, sociocultural, and economic risks are understood and alternatives like recycling are explored. We must reduce demand for new mining.

Trump wants America to be affordable and energy dominant, but this new bill "is economic malpractice,” says E2’s Zach Amittay.

As demand surges from AI, manufacturing, and population growth, it cuts credits for the fastest and cheapest energy we have: solar.

My colleagues and I took a trip last month to the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez) in Mexico to see the location of a proposed LNG facility and path of the associated 900+ foot tankers. As our post states - 𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜’𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝐋𝐍𝐆: 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞. www.nrdc.org/bio/joel-rey...
Mexico Pacific’s Saguaro LNG: Wrong Project, Wrong Place

Solar and batteries are the quickest, cheapest way to solidify the nation’s “energy dominance,” a frequently stated goal of Pres. Trump.

But North Carolina will lose big if cuts to clean energy credits become law.

North Carolina will lose big if cuts to clean energy incentives become law. Will Tillis, on record against "wholesale repeal" of the credits, go to bat…

A reminder that impoundment and careless contract terminations are illegal, despite how accustomed to them folk are growing. And if DOI is RIF’ing people right now, that’s illegal too - they are under a 2-week TRO in the AFSCME case.

Unfortunately, federally funded climate adaptation science and services are being cut well ahead of the FY26 budget.

We've been doing our best to speak up for what would be lost if the Climate Adaptation Science Centers are eliminated.

Pope Francis recognized the need to act on climate change—especially the wealthiest and biggest polluters. We hope to see Pope Leo XIV follow these footsteps in bringing environmental issues to the forefront.

I've read a lot of legally binding trade "agreements" over the years. This is an MOU / plan of what they agree. It isn't a trade deal, trade agreement, or anything binding.

"Gross [U.S. greenhouse gas] emissions decreased
from 2022 to 2023 by 2.3%, driven largely by a decrease in CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion."

Trump's EPA is busy reversing that progress.

Our forecast for China PV build in 2025 is 369GW(DC), up from 339GW(DC) in 2024, and growing slowly to peak at 428GW(DC) in 2030.

But who knows, really. We do think the phase of heady PV new build growth is over, just because the sector got really big.
jessedjenkins.com
@solarchase.bsky.social with China shifting away from fixed price payment/feed-in tariffs to market pricing for solar, will we see annual PV additions in China taper or continue to grow? Curious your read on the market there. Obviously a hugely important trend either way. Thanks!
