so the airbnb i’m staying in right now is the basement apartment of a house, and the host’s mom lives upstairs. she is lebanese and earlier dropped off five kinds of baklava, telling me it will be the best baklava i have ever had and you know what she was not wrong

one time when i was still working for a hockey team we had someone from the visiting fanbase send us an email complaint because the kids by the tunnel booed the away team as they took to the ice and she thought that was creating a hostile environment for her

i do think that booing makes some players stronger (see: jeff carter in columbus) but i do think that by and large booing the other team is as much a part of sports as the actual sport
