Nearly one million more Americans are unemployed today than when the year started. The Trump economy: fewer jobs, higher prices, slower growth. Americans deserve better.
NEW: The U.S. shed 105,000 jobs in October and added 64,000 in November as the unemployment rate crept up, offering little optimism for the labor market.
Already-shaky job market weakened in October and November, delayed federal data shows
The unemployment rate in November rose to 4.6%.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode deficits

3) Use the debt as an excuse to demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

Pro tip: when U.S. politicians in either party ignore or defy what the broader public says it wants, it’s usually because they are pandering to some powerful special interest group (or groups). True whether the issue is gun control, farm subsidies, health care, or many aspects of foreign policy.
