If your idea of "COVID-cautious" includes regular unmasked, indoor meetups with people who don't take regular and disciplined COVID precautions, you're not actually being cautious at all and you need to fuck off.

Mask bans — & all forms of pandemic neglect, including folks who’re capable of masking not doing so — are tools of fascism that weaponize illness, disability, & violence. They harm marginalized groups first: BIPOC, trans, etc.

Don’t want to serve that agenda?

Wear an n95 in public.

Many people are getting reinfected with #Covid19. There is a mountain of scientific evidence showing the damage the virus does to the body. So:

Everywhere you go without wearing an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong.

Masks don’t mean giving up your life. Failing to mask means forcing that on disabled folks.

“But in a mask it’s hard to—“ Yup.

So join the fight for disability justice, better tools, a better world.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed 34 years ago today.

The Disability Rights Movement is for us all, as we have two possible futures: die young or live long enough to become disabled.

Be part of the movement. Watch Crip Camp on Netflix to learn the history. And wear an n95 in public.

CA is seeing the highest rates of Covid since last August. It's fucking everywhere, esp in SoCal. Seriously, wear an N95 at all times, indoors and out. The system may have failed us, but you still have individual choice.
Hard to ask this bc of hostility around precautions and I want to note upfront that I know when you’re working a con there’s a lot of work/social pressure—but if you’re attending SDCC please, please wear a mask as much as you can. COVID levels are high, we are fully in a surge right now

Not just "a comrade to disabled people," abled people would be protecting their own brains! Covid is a brain damage virus to EVERYONE!
just want to say that even if you stopped masking for whatever reason, you can start back up at any moment! and the moment you do, you are a true comrade to disabled people, elderly people, immunocompromised people, each other, everyone else. it’s really easy to be a real ally :)

How to avoid #Covid when a contractor visits your home, part one.

I needed a plumber because my toilet was broken.

1. I put my P100 respirator on when I knew the plumber was on his way...

2. I made the plumber put on a 3M Aura *before* entering my apartment.
