I recently learned about Russian painter Ivan Aivazosky and I may never recover. I don't think I've ever seen water done like he does it. I don't think I've ever felt an artist loved water as much as I feel he must have. It's so incredible I could vomit.

All right y’all, so here’s the deal.

We’re struggling. Our monthly goal is to sell 1500 books. This month, we’ve sold less than 400.

We need your help. We HAVE to sell 1500 books by the end of Feb to keep our doors open. This was supposed to be a video, but Bluesky can't do 2 mins of video(Thread)

My advice is really that the best thing you can do to keep your mind sharp is simply to cultivate something you care about besides politics and the news.

Yep.
Tech PM here; PM work is often on the chopping block because it doesn't provide a bottom line metric. Devs can point to code or features, but PMs "don't make anything".

Then, two months after the PMs are laid off, it's a mystery why nothing is done and no one knows what's going on.

I'm involved in tech hiring. I've interviewed thousands of engineers. And I'd like to tell you about a disturbing trend I've seen in tech in the last 10 years 🧵

I'm still heartbroken, numb, and in shock. But this old Japanese proverb is niggling in my gut.

I drew it on a whim last week...and here we are.
