I know this is obvious when you think about it but we don’t think about it enough: fascists have to cow & persecute decent journalists to prevent them from reporting exactly what they, the fascists, are doing. Fascist-adjacent ‘journalists’ help by insisting that we shouldn’t call fascists facsists.

Sorry I keep talking about this but I’m genuinely alarmed by the growing narrative that poverty is a cause of racism. First it’s super insulting of people on low incomes. Second it normalises & excuses racist takes. And third it deters real action on racism by shifting the whole focus to economics.

I remember being told that it would take 193 years to reach legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.

I decided this was unacceptable.

Thanks to the bold policies we put in place, we've managed to do it in nine years - 184 years earlier than expected.
