Brief thread on how we got here: Since the GOP won control of the House 2 years ago they have not passed a single appropriations package into law. Government has operated at funding levels set by Dems 2 years ago via continuing resolutions every few months. This is not normal.

For all the thinkpieces I read this year, the core reality almost all have missed is that what endangers America every bit as much as fascism right now is normopathy—the desire to pretend all is as it was.
If you're doing that, stop now. America has changed forever and we must live in this America.
