On Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs," released (in VERY close proximity to "Glengarry Glen Ross," also discussed) on this day in 1992:

‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’ at 30: Men Talking (Published 2022)

These dramas, both known for distinctive (and salty) dialogue, didn’t make much of a box office impression in 1992. But their influence is still being felt.

She mainly did so because of a history of heart trouble in my family. (My dad died of a heart attack when he was 12 years older than I am now.) I'm really glad she did.

Two years ago I was zonked out for eight hours so they could basically reboot my heart to fix an atrial fibrillation (AFib). It worked and my heart now beats normally and healthily.

I had no symptoms and would've never known that I had an AFib had my PCP not done an EKG during an annual checkup.

the reviews are out and it seems like the new Ed Gein series is real bad, so I feel duty bound to recommend 1974’s DERANGED instead. It’s as close to a Gein biopic as we’ve ever gotten, it is unglamorous and disturbing, and it is a fine film tbh
