Do you know how often I’ve heard people argue that trans rights IN GENERAL are unimportant because we’re less than 1% of the population?

The argument against civil rights is not, and can never be, numbers.

Civil rights for everyone. Full fucking stop.

You will be SHOCKED to know that based on her social media, she's a HUGE Trump fan

I also talked to other former clients who were afraid to complain because of her vindictiveness. None of them would come forward. "I just want her out of my life," they said.

Anyway, I'll always remember her throwing that stack of papers at the MDJ. Why he didn't hold her in contempt, I don't know.

She'd been recommended to me by the bar association's lawyer referral service.

I later found out she'd been sued by at least five other clients, all of whom had won judgements! Same pattern: Took money up front, never did the work.

I also filed a complaint with the state disciplinary board and the bar association. I might as well have pissed up a rope for all the good that did, but I did get $820 back of the $4,000 she'd charged me for work she didn't do.

Shapiro has done well in Pennsylvania. They're desperately trying to make him happen on a national level and I don't see it.

In saner times, people like Tom Nichols or Bill Kristol would be considered "normal conservatives," but they're complete apostates in the Republican Party now. The Overton Window hasn't just moved, it's run off the cliff like Wile E. Coyote.

Define "normal conservatives." The median Republicans of my kidhood — here in PA, people like Tom Ridge and Dick Thornburgh — are long gone. People who would have been considered swivel-eyed lunatics 20 years ago are now mainstream.

The GOP has basically become a right wing entertainment/media operation focused on churning out non-stop propaganda, with a vestigial unit with nondescript offices hidden offsite that formulates and tries to pass legislation. It’s a political party in the same way WWF is a sports league.
