There are legitimate public libraries available and free e-lending options from them. There are used book store networks, like Alibris, which sell out-of-print books for pennies on the dollar.
I grew up very poor and used the library every week. I didn't steal books.

I've reached the stage of early middle-age where I'm dreaming about cars I used to own. Is that normal? The one that turns up most often is the '89 Mercury I bought when I graduated from college and needed a reliable car in a hurry. I loved that beast.
