I think loneliness among teenage girls (we have three daughters) has gotten worse.

the doomerism about the court presumes and concedes a premise about judicial supremacy that simply does not need to be conceded.

it's a co-equal branch. it's subject to checks and balances like any other.

Rationally done tariffs are not per se bad. By “lunacy” I was referring to the horrible “process” and random pain of the Trump 2 tariffs.

I think most economists (Krugman, Sahm) would say the piss poor “process” imposes real costs in and of itself.

Sometimes I fear that the answer to this is that the long random walk of Darwinian evolution works in favor of assholes (which would also explain why Homo sapiens got to the top in the first place)
