This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

It’s not enough to simply thank our veterans for their service.

Millions of them rely on SNAP and the ACA.

Many struggle with PTSD and worry about access to mental health services.

Today, on Veterans Day, let’s renew our commitment to keep fighting for those who fought for us.

Of note: they tell you how much it costs for the government to run the free filing system, but they don’t tell you how much it would cost to have a private corporation do it. (Hint: it would cost taxpayers more to have a private corporation do it.)
Treasury is required to produce a report to Congress related to Direct File, the free tax filing option that the current administration intends to kill. They've created a survey with a bunch of leading questions. The survey deserves some responses supportive of the program to counteract its framing:

When The U.S. Government Tried To Replace Migrant Farmworkers With High Schoolers
In 1964, a program that brought migrant Mexican laborers to the U.S. ended. So the U.S. recruited American students to pick crops instead. When they saw their living conditions, strikes ensued.

If a health intervention is 100% "efficacious," but no one uses it, it is not "effective." EVIDENCE: The most efficacious AND popular smoking cessation tool is nicotine vapes ("e-cigarettes"). Strange to demonize them...
E-cigarettes are the most commonly used smoking cessation aid in England (40% of quit attempts in 2023/24) and one of the most effective.

Other effective aids are used in <5% of attempts.

41% try to quit unaided, which is the least effective method.

Please follow Dr. Alex Wodak. A gem of a man who has devoted his entire career to public health harm reduction.

A "man of many shining parts."
Age of cigarette smoking might be over in many rich countries like US but different story in Low & Middle Income Countries where 80% of world population lives. Already 50% smoking related deaths LMICs
The age of cigarettes is over:

- teen smoking has dropped to near zero
- young adult smoking has dropped >75%
- total adult cigarette use will hit zero by 2034
- cigarette sales will hit zero by 2034

Why does no one know this? Why is CDC is not telling the public what their own surveys show?

It is astonishing to me, how we ignore 490,000 adult deaths every year from smoking. Teen use can change. Death is final.
(I used to teach Healthcare Ethics)

FYI: US teen nicotine use is now at a 50-year low, so it's VERY weird to obsess on that.
