More or less universally a country seeking to limit foreigners studying in that country is a sign of a society, culture, great power in severe decline.

Earlier, I posted a 🧵 about the articles that students liked in my graduate course on executive function (EF)👇.

In this new 🧵 (the last one based on this class, I promise!), I thought I'd share some of the thoughts I had while teaching this course. If you’re interested in EF, read on. (1/12)
I taught a graduate course on executive function (EF) in the spring. Before I forget, I thought I'd tell you about the readings students liked the best (at the end of the semester, I asked students to vote for their favorite papers, excl. any of mine). Here are the top vote getters. 🧵 (1/6)

So written by an LLM then. All of the LLMs still hallucinate in this way—making up citations, getting interpretations of papers wrong, etc. Good to know that the people making these decisions are not putting in the work and do not have the required expertise.

NIH cuts are getting the press, but VA research is getting slashed too. What do we lose when VA research goes away? Here's some greatest hits: The nicotine patch, invention of the cardiac pacemaker, first successful liver transplant, development of the CAT/CT scan

VA Research Funding Slashed
Though not as prominent as the NIH, VA researchers play a major role in advancing basic health science. Hundreds of projects have been cut.

Anyone else in PA not able to get through to Dave McCormick's office? All of his numbers go to the same system that eventually just disconnects you no matter what you do.

This will definitely help with those high prices and make America great
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
