Globalist. I prefer games, comics, books, movies and sports but was drafted into the resistance when we somehow elected a Russian-backed felon insurrectionist.

In his first day in office, Trump pardoned nearly 1,600 people in the Jan. 6th Capitol riot. Five years later, most of the officers injured that day have never widely shared their experience.

Here are some of their stories, in their own words:

None of the pardoned insurrectionists who attacked our Capitol and undermined our democracy deserve a taxpayer-funded handout.

@padilla.senate.gov and @whitehouse.senate.gov's new piece of legislation would rightfully put an end to Trump's payout scheme.

The damage this administration has done to some of our greatest institutions has been immeasurable. I never want to hear that "both sides are just as bad" nonsense ever again.
Sad day in the U.S.

On Monday, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting shut itself down.

Defunded by Congress with fears (and rightly so) that the Trump administration would pervert the organization to further undermine free media...

Shocking nobody, I *love* this Magic x Jim Henson collaboration.

Amazed to learn that literal Brian Henson directed it!

Possibly even more than the actual short, I adore that artists who worked on it are gushing in the comments about their excitement at working on it 😄

January 6, 2021 was the most shameful day in American history. It should live in infamy, as should the traitor who refused to accept the election results and incited the attack on the U.S. Capitol — Donald J. Trump.

Did you know the plaque honoring the Capitol Police had been taken down, even though a law was passed to always have it on display? Well, it's on display again outside my Rep Sam Liccardo's office! The other photo is the Dem Reps remembering Jan 6 today in DC.

Thank you @liccardo.house.gov!
