The best thing about cosmic ambient jazz-folk-primitive guitar virtuoso guys is that they each have their go-to takes on the kinds of adult-contemporary singer-songwriter hits that my parents listened to in their 320i circa 1988.
Was told today that my current William Tyler and Bill Frisell fixation, combined with my Black Friday order (for myself!) of LoA's four-volume oral history of the Civil War, means I've officially entered my peak Dad Years. Can't deny it.

Today's news is a good excuse to remind everyone that Rinzler's Making of Star Wars, Empire, and Jedi are surprisingly candid and warts-and-all for authorized coffee-table books, to the point that it's kind of amazing that Lucas ever okayed them or that Disney has allowed them to stay in print.
