Hmm. Hamdi v. Rumsfeld (“enemy combatants” still get due process). Shelby County v. Holder (Atty. General no longer has oversight over certain voting operations).

1200-1500 people showed up. Some drove an hour+.

To those who agree that USAID should be defunded: let’s say you are right, and it’s not a valid mission for the USG. An analogy.

This is the crazy thing about the current moment (and so much of Trump’s reality distortion field): it’s as real as we let it be. But it’s SO easy to let it be real.
If security guards stopped turning off access and blocking buildings, people could just… go to work.
But that could get them fired!

I am really frustrated that the press is discussing the destruction of USAID as something that has happened rather than an illegal action that will likely be undone in two weeks when courts tell the world that it was illegal.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

This is funny and I hope people do it, but I also understand why they don’t. Your boss tells you (the IT person) to turn off someone’s access, which IS a thing you do. The actual reason behind them telling you to do it is a violation of civil service protections, but do you know this?
I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons
