On Wednesday, Citibank revealed in a court filing that it was told to freeze Habitat for Humanity’s bank accounts, at the FBI’s request. The reason? The FBI alleges that the group is involved in “possible criminal violations,” including “conspiracy to defraud the United States."

Yes, we are not destined to a dystopia. If you have power and voice, use it to stop the demonization of those that the executive branch seems intent on targeting.
What happens after we have demonized everyone who doesn’t look, move, or pray exactly like we do? What happens when fascism takes over?
We are not doomed to repeat our history. We can learn from it, and we can reject hate and authoritarianism.
