I think there’s also a misunderstanding of itch as some big corporate platform like Steam or the App Store and not just like a website a few people have built and kept together for a decade so people can share their weird art.

I was lucky enough to get to use my researcher creds to access the geneology records in the National Library and got to read the account of my greatx3 grandfather talking about his familys 1946 eviction from their farm in Ballindrait, and how the english baliff called the entire family "apes"
