Still trying to shake off the post-holiday slump. I went to Japan (2nd time this year, haha) for the autumn experience and now the tropical weather is turning me into a snail.
Probably post about the trip one day. But now, it's back to work and routine.

My thoughts exactly! I don't think Silksong would be this engaging and memorable if not for the friction and hostility of the world (same with the Soulslikes). And sometimes the best way to convey complex themes is to make players uncomfortable and challenged, gameplay-wise and emotionally.

Despite replacing the battery, my phone still feels like it's draining power more quickly than it should, which could mean other issues. I may need to consider a new device, just not so urgently.

Got my Note 10+'s battery changed. It was beginning to bleed faster and the phone actually notified me that the battery is showing signs of drainage.
Here's hoping I can squeeze in a few more years of this phone. It's definitely showing its age (6 years now), but most things are working fine.

It's definitely not a bad movie by any stretch, just disappointing considering the proposed premise, which went through several story revisions and a troubled production. It could've been a lot worse, but I thought it told a good and heartfelt story.

I wonder how this looks like for FFXVI, as there are more voiced female NPCs and quest givers, and the character who is specifically there to infodump is female.

Today's culinary adventure: making scallion pancakes/flatbread! Mostly because the vege seller at the market snuck in a few stalks of scallions into the pack, which was a nice surprise. But as someone who don't usually cook with scallion, it became a puzzle.

So my office building had either a fire drill or an actual fire (most likely the former, because there wasn't any apparent smoke or fire). Either way, my legs are now jellified from about 30 flights of stairs, my shirt is drenched with sweat, and I'm wishing I slept in with the rain.
