Describe your Bluesky account in a single image
USS Voyager from Star Trek, heavily damaged

Just had to add the word "peckerheads" to my computer's dictionary. So, #writing is going well.

I wrote another thing. This one's a basic explainer on AI:

They say you should love yourself, but I'm really more of a frenemy

The former, I think. The Maquis treated Starfleet and the Federation like an adversary. These folks take a more charitable view, but they still can't really trust them.

(And that's why I'm writing it!)

I want a Star Trek series that follows a group of people who believe in Starfleet's underlying ideals, but the more militaristic post-Dominion-War Starfleet has turned its back on them. Fate makes them a crew, and they make their way in a darker galaxy while trying to do good and uphold their ideals

I want a Star Trek series completely set on an alien ship, world, & crew. Ideally outside the Federation. Bring back practical sets with a huge makeup budget. Give me Tellarites, Benzites, or Tamarians and give them the 1 token human character or crewman (not the captain).

I want a Star Trek series that follows a crew that gets transported to a new galaxy with no hope of getting back to the Federation or Starfleet. It's not just another quadrant like in Voyager but an whole new galaxy. 🖖

#writing Bluesky can't do polls, so I'll just ask: Do you work on only one project at a time?

1. One at a time. Any other projects get locked in a drawer until the current one is finished.

2. Mostly one project, occasionally dipping into others.

3. I never know which project I'm going to work on!

Reminds me of the uproar over the KFC Double-Down, a sandwich that used chicken breasts instead of bread.

It's just two chicken breasts, some bacon, cheese and sauce. Serve it on a plate and no one would blink. But serving it as a sandwich made people think it was the end of Western Civilization.

Kite-Man particularly hates him.

#DeathofSuperman #DC Another thing I forgot is that in the final issue, no pages are divided into panels - every page is a single panel, which is an amazingly cinematic effect. And then of course, that final gatefold:
The two-page spread of Lois holding Superman, telling him he's done it, he's saved everyone... The final, three-page foldout spread, where Superman finally perishes.

#DeathofSuperman #DC And so...here we are. The cover seen 'round the world.
The iconic cover of Superman #75, January 1993, "The Death of Superman!" Art by Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding.

#DeathofSuperman #DC Ah, Bibbo! We have Bibbo!
Bibbo: "If he's tryin' ta fall on TOP o' us, he's gonna MAKE it! We gotta--"

#DeathofSuperman #DC Oh, man, when I saw this frame, it all came flooding into my head like Neo learning Kung Fu: Lex has red hear and a beard because he was dying of kryptonite poisoning and he transplanted his brain into a young clone who pretended to be good, and that Supergirl is actually a...
Red-headed and red-bearded Lex Luthor II, actually Lex's brain in a young clone body pretending to be Lex's son, and also pretending to be good, and Supergirl from another universe that was destroyed in Crisis on Infinite Earths, who is not Kryptonian, but a protoplasmic shapeshifting artificial life form created by the good Lex Luthor of her home universe.

Guardian has the nerve to show up after a big battle and shame Superman about all the violence and destruction. Like, where were YOU? Supes does get him back next issue though, when Guardian apologies for being late: "That's okay. You would have been totally worthless anyways."
Guardian comes to the aid of Superman and Maxim, and is pretty judgy. "Sorry I didnt get here sooner, Superman." "I doubt that you could have helped us avoid this, Guardian."

#DeathofSuperman #DC Ice is quite fashion forward, wearing Uggs before anyone else

#DeathofSuperman #DC So Guy got kicked out of the GL Corps, but he still has a ring? And it's...yellow? That seems...unwise.

#DeathOfSuperman #DC Maxima, saying the words every man wants to hear. Actually, the first thing I had to Google was the JLA lineup at the time. I knew Fire, Ice, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle and Guy Gardener, but didn't remember Maxima or..."Bloodwynd" (ugh, the 90s), who is actually [redacted]
