To one artist in particular, Star Trek has been a gold-pressed latinum mine, inspiring an entire comic strip about "crappy jobs, space travel, and ennui."

star trek strange new worlds inspired fan art. Captain Pike is drawn in the style of the Fairly Oddparents cartoon. His hair is so high it goes beyond the top of the page. this is a play on the character of Doug Dimmadome owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome. the hair reaches up into outer space.

I’ve never lived in Chicago full-time, but I’ve been there numerous times throughout my life, and I love it very much. The first time I ever went there was in 1984 (I was tiny). I went there with my late father (pictured), and since I worked for companies based in the Loop, I was there a lot. I ♥️CHI

Moved to Chicago in 2009, originally from a small farm town in southern Illinois. I love this city and the people in it. This city is in my blood. Fuck this administration. Fuck ICE. We're not a pawn for lies and cheap political theater. These are my neighbors. This is my home.

Despite growing up in Illinois I had never heard this phrase til I met my wife. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Chicago has a huge Polish community. This makes so much sense.
