The top 0.1% of Americans control $22 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% control $3.8 trillion in wealth.

Read that back.

Folks, this is what oligarchy looks like.

Vaccination eliminated measles from the U.S. 25 years ago. But it can still spread in pockets where vaccination rates are low, like the west Texas county with a current outbreak. Here's how fast.
As the Texas outbreak grows, how contagious is measles, really?

Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.

Sorry, President Trump. We believe in democracy, not authoritarianism.

The House GOP just passed a draconian budget resolution, but despite GOP misinformation, this is just a blueprint, not a final bill. That means there’s still time to push back against proposed Medicaid cuts and tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. Here’s what you need to know. 👇
The Budget Blueprint Is No 'Big, Beautiful Bill'
At best, it’s a concept of a plan. But then they’ll try to spin it to voters.

Donald Trump is not fit to be President of the United States of America. His presence in the Oval Office is a stain on the legacy of this country.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

Trump's Social Security Administration commissioner just called for a 50% staff reduction.

This would gut SSA field offices and make it harder for millions of seniors to access benefits.

Make no mistake: this is an attack on Social Security itself.

Got really busy last week, but I've been catching up on comics. This week's issue of X-Men was pretty good! I love the solidarity between the X-Men and Alpha Flight. It's nice to see their contributions during Fall of X recognized, and I'm glad Scott was ready to help them out...

I reviewed Sentinels #5, which has been one of the best series of the current era. I've seen it accused of being "copoganda" by people who clearly never read past a preview. This was never going be a comfortable read but was executed flawlessly.

The base is the most important part of any structure...the pyramids, for example.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Remember that Captain America had a Gay Jewish friend named Arnie who protected him from neighborhood bullies in his scrawny youth, and when Arnie passed years later, Cap started a center for LGBTQ+ youth in New York in his friend Arnie's memory.
This is canon. There'd be no Cap without Arnie Roth.
