Feels like a situation that would require an email response, or perhaps a zoom call at best.

I hardly discuss the topic; don't know what you're imagining. What weapons do I have? This is about the destruction of the academy in Gaza. In your mind, apparently, any criticism requires condemnation.

Yes

Better to use Powell's words
Pretexts and threats

Threats of indictment is accurate
Describes use of govt power w/out implying legitimacy

Investigation and inquiry convey legitimate authority

Yellen Greenspan Bernanke statement didn't convey legitimacy either
bsky.app/profile/real...
Jerome Powell did not use the word investigation

It is a normal word
But I think the Justice department lacks legitimacy to such an extent that news coverage should consider dropping the word investigation altogether

Powell said pretexts and he said threats

He is a lot more reliable than DOJ

Thanks for tracking how propaganda launders fascism through euphemism. Every time media calls fascism a ‘norm shift,’ it teaches people to tolerate their own erasure and subjugation.

Political persuasion is a systematic dismantling of democracy dressed in polite editorial language. Disgusting.
