All three of my siblings have decorated their houses for Christmas. I have not. Does that make me the Grinch of the family?

City of Saskatoon needs better online preparation for swimming sign-up days. It’s not new. The website has been slow as molasses for years.

Last summer my brother, a BC firefighter, spent days fighting alongside other BC firefighters to save his town. They miraculously saved it. Forest fires are absolutely terrifying.

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with one of my brothers today. Talking to my siblings about finding out last fall that our mother is a covert narcissist has been so eye-opening. Everything lines up. Everything. I cannot even begin to tell you how life-changing it is to learn the “why”s.

I needed to hear this.
I just want to remind everyone out there that rest is an actual thing you do and when you do it you aren’t doing “nothing,” you’re doing something essential to your health and wellbeing and also essential if you want to do *anything else.*

It’s been an interesting couple days talking to family members. Some incredible conversations, a bit of conservative politics we steered away from, and funnily antagonizing about differing opinions.
I don’t think I’ll ever be on the same page with politics with any of my family.

I figured out two things this evening that have been driving me nuts and I feel like I need a medal or two.
1. My OneDrive disappeared a few days ago from my computer. User error.
2. I could not separate my just-turned-13yo from my Google “family”. Unread email.
I need personal 24/7 tech support.

I deactivated my Facebook and Instagram accounts. I had a complete meltdown this evening about something related to one of them, so I figured deactivating for a while would be a healthy idea.

Rearranging my bookshelf & in the @rainbowrowell.bsky.social section all I can think about is I don’t have physical copies (only eBook) of Pumpkinheads/Wayward Son or every hardcover version of some or any paperback versions of others. I have a problem, I know.

The inability to remember words is not exactly helpful in a store when I’m asking for help to find something. 🤦♀️ I could not remember the word “disposable”. If I can’t remember a word that is a *thing*, I think about what it looks like till I can find the word. That did not work this time.
