I wonder if I'm going to have a big sad at some point over the fact that manually writing code is going to disappear from my life faster than I thought. I like writing code and I've spent almost 10 years trying to get good at it.

Everyone in the developer world is hyped over Claude Code (the hype is real btw) but I don't think we're talking nearly enough about how the future of the coding revolution is going to be owned by a handful of mega corps.

I knew a guy that swore by only ever using the fifth gear in his standard transmission. Park to 5th, no matter what.
One Sergey Levine quote from a podcast that stuck with me (paraphrased) is that even when there are better, well-defined solutions, it's often interesting to stick with your method and figure out how to make it work

My hot take is that there’s way too much fucking around happening too quickly. The finding out needs to happen faster, it’s not keeping up with the fucking around.
