Software developer in the Canadian Prairies #yxe. He/him
I’ve been tinkering with an Augmented Reality project in #Flutter and I think I’m ready to conclude 2 things:

1. Google forgot about Flutter and hasn’t released ARCore plugins for it.

2. What I’m building might not be an “app”, but a “game”, and now I’m learning Unity again.

I’ve seen these gathering dust in pawn shops and they always seemed overpriced. They still are, but this is a cool update.

I love how many apps are being built with the #ATProto. I’ve wanted an alternative to GoodReads (Amazon) for years. StoryGraph is good, but development has been slow and the social features are lacking. Maybe BookHive is the winner??
We've done it!

The BookHive mobile app has been approved by Apple!

I just rewatched Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (for the umpteenth time, but the first in a long while).

It's still absolutely wonderful, packed with superb little jokes, excellent music and a plot I'll never forget.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Do yourself a favour…

This may be a controversial option, but I will happy to never see a Funko Pop figurine ever again. They are ugly, pointless little plastic things that only fill store shelves like a brain tumour filling a cranium.
Funko is $250 million in debt.

The company behind the Pop! vinyl figurines you have undoubtedly seen absolutely everywhere warns it may not last another 12 months without an acquition or additional funding.

My #atproto app is coming along but I ran into some problems and I decided to write some words about it.

tldr: Augmented Reality is hard and I wish there were some open source standards.

I thought they were going to pay him to leave? You know, to save the company? No?

Okay, Cybertruck X on the way I’m sure.

I’ve been using a lot of AI for programming lately and it’s completely ruined my brain. I’ve turned programming into a slot machine where a jackpot is functional code. I never stood a chance.

We've got a new block: POLLS!

And we'd love for you to test it out by voting on the top block you'd like to see us add — we've got a shortlist, but comment if there's another you'd put first :)

Coming soon: publishing standalone docs to atproto, to more easily make one-off polls for anything!
Polls in publications — what block should we add next?
Help us test our newest block type…by voting on what block to add next in Leaflet!
