The federal government needs to make an example out of Toronto. Freeze every cent of HAF funding until they allow sixplexes and kill poison pills like this. One of their key platform planks was scaling modular housing. How do they expect to accomplish this with intransigent cities?

The unfortunate lesson of many elites and officials folding or readily joining is they won’t do the right thing on their own, they need to fear doing the wrong thing.
When historians look back on this, they’ll say failure to punish earlier malfeasance—eg coup attempt—is a big part of why we’re here.

Democrats should loudly let it be known right now that anyone who is carrying out corrupt orders—or illegal ones— on Trump's behalf will not be able to hide behind bureaucratic obscurity later. They will be held accountable—politically, or if needed, legally as well.

Black people in England are almost four times as likely to face homelessness as white people and substantially less likely to get social housing, according to the first major study into homelessness and racism in more than two decades.
A three-year research project by academics at Heriot-Watt University found that ethnicity affects a person’s risk of homelessness, even when controlling for factors such as geography, poverty and home ownership rates. Continue reading...
