NIST's time services going down is less about "oh no things are going to break" (we are very resilient to muti-second drift even if people didn't have backups like GPS) and more about "oh no this is a crucial service we are being reminded has multiple underfunded and vulnerable chokepoints"

knew I was trans since about 2002-2003ish? I was 15 scared as shit and didn't see anybody like me or resources for people like me.
Came out in the end when I was 20, even then felt like such an uphill battle for resources and community.
I don't want kids going through that.

I don't recommend anyone do this but I'm still mad about the time I accidentally doubled up on my depression med that also helps with ADHD and felt fantastic and could focus amazingly. (I will never do it again because of seizure risk but like...god wtf brain)
