And Trump has confirmed he wants American citizens sent to El Salvador to die in a foreign gulag. This is a five-alarm fire for democracy.
So, let’s all get prepared to plant a garden and grow our own food, barter and trade. I at least know how to sew and make clothes, but I’ll have to make them from repurposed curtains and bedsheets, a la Scarlet O’Hara. And I’ll let my MAGA neighbors starve.

Am I the only one who wants the tariffs to go forward? The MAGA cult has to feel the pain if there is any chance they defect from the rubble of the Republican Party. They personally have to be hurt before they change their minds as empathy is a foreign concept.
