Warning Distressing Content!

I would absolutely do anything I could if I saw a child being kidnapped. Most woman would

How do we know this man is an ICE agent? He is alone in an unmarked vehicle.

Could be a civilian in dress up and ICE has been taking children out of state.

That’s trafficking

In Washington DC in a school zone.

Dont think thats the proper way to throw or a flashbang or if it even made it to the car being surrounded.

Then point rifles with silencers at someone trying to leave their property?

This is treating the residents of this area as if it were a war zone.

Good question.

1) Covering substantive issues is harder than repeating press releases and reading the crime blotter

2) Challenging power and calling out BS makes powerful people angry

3) There is an audience for the old 'litany of tragedy' local news model of gawking at others' misfortune
Again, I ask: Why can't local news elsewhere be this factual and informative instead of fluff stories and "live" shots from the scene where some horrific crime happened more than a day ago?

People in Colorado have no idea how fortunate they are.

Nobody is above the rule of law, including federal agents such as ICE or border patrol. Our new reporting form is about keeping our communities safe and reminding them that we have their back. If you see misconduct from a federal agent, please report it to our office.

Unsurprisingly, the guys who joined a paramilitary police force, the direct descendent of slave catchers, have never heard of The Night of the Long Knives.
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"

On MLK Day, we’ll hear a lot of quotes from people actively dismantling his legacy, including the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.

Today we honor Dr. King by remembering that his legacy wasn’t comfort or quiet it was courage, sacrifice, and resistance in the face of injustice. He knew progress is never handed down; it’s pushed forward by ordinary people who refuse to accept inequality as normal.
