May this portion of the dissent by Ketanji Brown Jackson haunt John Roberts forever and be the final word on his tenure as Chief Justice.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

I suspect Todd Blanche is going to float a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell—to keep her quiet and pressure her into giving Congressional Republicans testimony that protects Trump. The cover-up is happening right before our eyes. Don’t fall for it.

I think people are missing something big. Trump's manipulation of the bureaucracy to manufacture pretexts for DOJ to prosecute his enemies is happening right now. It's actively underway. It's not theoretical. It's upon us.
Trump just said Schiff merits "prison" for the "fraud" an IG supposedly found.

Again, I talked to experts/former IG who described the process used here as deeply troubling.

This is becoming his model for manipulating bureaucracy to hatch pretexts to target foes:

Much of the media will hold Democrats accountable for the words of a random liberal online but give Republicans a free pass on the white nationalists and conspiracy theorists they actually meet with in person and follow online.
In a healthy White House, activists like Laura Loomer wouldn’t be let in the door. In this White House, she gets influential access to the president and vice president.

Both parties have fringes, but only one party blurs the line between its fringe and its mainstream. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
Laura Loomer’s White House access erases the line between the fringe and mainstream
In a normal White House, right-wing activists like Loomer wouldn’t have access. But that’s not Donald Trump’s White House.

The political media is obsessively relitigating the issue of Biden being too old and out of touch while the current president babbles incoherently at press conferences and regularly admits he's not the one making decisions on key policy matters.

The Trump administration is defying the Supreme Court, arresting judges and mayors, talking about arresting congressmen, denying due process and openly musing about suspending habeus corpus too.

There’s no constitutional crisis coming. It’s here.

if I understand American politics correctly, progressivism is something that requires 60 senate votes to work, while national conservatism doesn’t require any votes at all

January 6 was a terrorist insurrection that violently assaulted and maimed hundreds of police officers.

The man who led it is now president — and he pardoned all his comrades while firing all the US attorneys and FBI agents who investigated and prosecuted the perpetrators.

Remember — Tulsi Gabbard was on a TSA watch list because of suspicious foreign travel, including to Syria and Russia.

Maybe — just maybe, hear me out here — the Director of National Intelligence should NOT be someone who made a TSA watch list for suspicious foreign travel.

People it wasn't the Democrats messaging. It was the racism and misogyny. It was the fact that white people (both men and women) voted for the rapist and racist. It was that Latino men voted for misogyny although it would hurt their fellow Latinos. It was idiots who fell for a Tik Tok op.

If you wanted to know how an autocracy would start in America, it begins by releasing violent thugs from prison who beat up police defending Congress, illegally firing every Inspector General, and seizing billions appropriated by Congress for people with no authority to do so.

The Supreme Court ruled corporations were allowed to donate unlimited amounts to politicians in 2010.

It only took them 6 years to take complete control of the government and 15 years to mark sure their voices are the only ones the masses ever hear again.

The facts are, the ACA saved millions with pre-existing conditions and set standards for care.

But now, more than a decade later, with what we now know, it’s time to take the insurance companies out of the mix.
The subsidies they get are enormous. We don’t need them as middlemen.

The new Republican House began with an obvious lie advanced in the service of Christian nationalism, so we’re off to a great start
In his opening speech, Speaker Mike Johnson just recited a long prayer attributed to Thomas Jefferson.

As @jackjenkins.me and others have pointed out, Jefferson never said any of this: www.monticello.org/research-edu...

The traditional oligarchs operated in the shadows because they were always fearful of public backlash.

Emboldened by Citizens United, they quietly amassed their political power through PACs and lobbyists.

Now it's more out in the open.

Just a reminder that the GOP relied on the testimony of a man who just plead guilty to lying about a bribery scheme between Joe and Hunter Biden .

This was the main witness and story the GOP relied on in impeachment committee
