I unfortunately only really remember the teachers that discouraged me and told me various pursuits of mine (like drawing) were dead end careers that would never go anywhere. *sigh* I sincerely hope there’s more teachers like this out in the world.

as a neurodivergent & also weird kid school was hell for me, though these days I struggle to remember the names of all the teachers who bullied me. But the three that treated me like a person have never left me. Now more than ever, I hope you all try your best to stay unsquishable!

I enjoy a well-thought-out, rule-based magic system in fiction as much as anyone, BUT I also think that we should give more props to what Terry Pratchett did in the Discworld books, where it was less about rules and more about vibes and, more importantly, what fit a given story the best.
