Recently watched the 1964 Christmas classic, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with my grandson and I completely forgot how cruel Santa, the reindeers and even Rudolph's dad were to him for being born different. It has a happy ending only after they discover that he can serve their own purposes.

Vinyl records are popular again, but it's not just audiophiles or nostalgic boomers fueling the resurgence.

Gen Z is playing an outsized role in the revival of vinyl sales, which have grown on average by 18% annually in the past five years.

I’ve never stopped buying CDs. If musicians are going to thrive, they need our support by purchasing physical media and merchandise along with attending shows which not only helps the artists, but the venue owners as well. If there’s not a healthy artistic ecosystem, the whole industry goes away.
Since the 2010s, streaming has dominated media consumption, and with that, sales of DVDs and CDs have sunk. However, there’s been a revival in demand for discs.

The trend is driven by Gen Z looking for the novelty of “vintage” media.
DVDs and CDs are becoming cool again, thanks mostly to Gen Z
Consumers of all ages are looking to discs to get offline and away from algorithms, and for a younger generation, it’s seen as “vintage.”

A good idea. Democratic SuperPACs should be running ads right now saying Musk is corrupt and lining his own pockets at your — the public’s — expense.

Tie Musk mercilessly to the Republican Party leadership. They did this. They voted for this in the Senate and House. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social
There should also be adds about the guy who ran our government the last 4 months and accessed our most sensitive data being a huge drug addict. That is a huge national security issue as a direct result of Republican’s handing their constitutional power to a foreign billionaire.

Don’t give into fatalism. We can beat the fascists. History is on our side.
“Trump wants you to think opposing him is futile. It’s not. His greatest fear is free and fair elections — and that’s exactly where we have power,” Marc Elias writes.

Congressional Republicans hope you aren’t focusing on their unpopular plans to slash taxes for billionaires and billionaire corporations while gutting health care for families.

So I don’t think they’d want you to share this story:
Republicans pass Trump-backed tax plan that could drastically cut Medicaid
Republicans will now have to detail what specific programs they will cut, including potential changes to Medicaid.

Trump targeted the legacy media. Its owners paid for the privilege.

Trump targeted Mitch McConnell. His Republican Senate colleagues did nothing.

Trump targeted lawyers and law firms. The biggest, most prestigious firms looked away.
