SHAME: Generation X had schoolmates with last names like Nguyen, Pham & Tran, born in war-torn Vietnam, and evacuated as young children by helicopter or from waterlogged boats in the South China Sea. Many went on to serve in our military.

Now we are sending them back?

I note the passing of our colleague Peter Arnett age 91. Famed for his reporting of the #Vietnam War for AP & later of Iraq for CNN, Peter & I did our very first LIVE TV broadcast commenting on the fall of Saigon on a May 1975 NBC News special ... RIP Peter.
