Consistent with the Presidential Memorandum issued on January 20, 2025, EPA has determined that its employees' duties require them to be face-to-face with their supervisors, colleagues, clients, and the public to the maximum extent possible. As a result, Acting Administrator Jim Payne issued a January 24 notice on EPA's return to in-person work.
This instruction does not affect existing reasonable accommodations, medical telework, employees currently serving on DETO arrangements, or military spouses working remotely based on the Military Spouse Employment Act, Pub. L. 118-31, div. A, title XI, § 1112, codified at 5 USC § 3330d. If you have an existing Reasonable Accommodation for situational, regular, or full-time telework/remote work, please confirm with your supervisor that the RA is documented and in effect.
The agency hereby rescinds all regular telework and remote work agreements unless excluded above. Teleworkers and remote workers must report full-time to agency worksites, according to their approved work schedule as follows:

Failure to report to agency worksites by the dates identified above, could result in you being charged absent without leave. While AWOL is not considered to be a disciplinary action it could serve as the basis for one.

I think it's worth repeating plainly that a federal judge halted Musk's federal funding freeze nearly two weeks ago but funds are still very much being frozen in violation of the court order.
