I have also not seen Secret Agent or Sentimental Value but seeing those involves jumping through a hoop. same for some of the international film nominees that I'm interested in. I am trying to minimize hoops and hoop-related activities

I also don't particularly want to see Sentimental Value. The recent genre of "Norwegian dramas starring Renate Reinsve that everyone says are so good but I am skeptical of them" is not really for me. but if i'm gonna see all the BP nominees I suppose on the list it goes

I think once you explained what Sons of Anarchy is, they would see it as an odd but acceptable tribute. Like "hey at least people are still thinking about us. And Ron Perlman is in it!"
