East Broad Top 16, recreated as a somewhat 1:48 scale Lego model.

Made to run on 3 stud gauge Lego track, like its real life counterpart. Engine & Tender come out to 1,440 pieces and I’m using one Power functions L motor for power.

Really, really happy with the turnout.

I truly hope that every single #modelrailroad and #train enthusiast under the age of 35 ends this specific type of gatekeeping foamer forever. I can't think ANYTHING that holds this hobby back more than some cantankerous busybody who tanks a blossoming interest in the hobby with dipshit nonsense.

As someone who's hired to literally count rivets....

Just to clarify: I'm pro "make your models for yourself or clients as accurate as you want them to be", just don't be an unsolicited cop about others' models unless they CONSENT to constructive criticism to help them improve. Don't punch down.
I just always follow rule number 1: It’s your railroad. I’m ok with river counters existing as long as they don’t gatekeeper for others because, see rule 1.

We must seek to end the trauma cycle of this kind of hobbyist gatekeeper with our generation.

Finally got some time to play with my HO switching layout. I haven't ran it since around Christmas! Being really busy with work and it not being in the same place I live doesn't help, plus we've been lazy about getting track power back to it. Had alot of fun!

Built April 1918 at Baldwin. Up until December 1941, she was Erie Railroad J-2 Class No. 2499. The low stepped running boards toward the pilot are a trademark (although not a consistent one) of the Erie's Russian Decapods.

Here she is at some point in her Erie days, sporting a high headlight.
