Really don't know what I'm going to do when she passes, she's been a huge source of comfort ever since I got her. Hard to tell when that'll happen. I think she's 15 or 16, so I'm hoping I'll have four more years.

My friend Sascha is a professional musician and he's lost a viola bow on the way to Heathrow. Please signal boost to help him get it back.

Lost viola bow on the way from Honor Oak Station to Heathrow Terminal 2. The bow slid from its bow case somewhere along the way, possibly on the train. TFL contacted already.

One of my least favourite things is when some Anglobrained people will sort of internalise these concepts, but only halfway, so they end up saying things like ACTUALLY FOR INSTANCE IN THE UK THEY DONT EVEN REGARD POLES AS WHITE. THEY SUBJECT THEM TO RACISM THERE.

Those are two different sentences.

I should clarify, because I think people missed my point slightly. What I am saying here is that racism in the UK and indeed most of Europe is based on a tripartite model where a racist will perceive two types of foreign object - "non-white" and "white but foreign" and hate them in different ways.

It's kind of just not accurate to flatten this into a question of proximity to "whiteness" because it's really more like radiating concentric circles of proximity to the titular ethnicity of a given European country.

Leon's, the oldest continuously operating gay bar in Baltimore since 1957. The building itself opened in the late 1890's as a bar called Georgia's Tap Room. During Prohibition, it was a speakeasy and, after WWII, became a hangout for beatniks and artists with a mix of gay and straight patrons.
