The B-2 switcher had her first test under power.
Last night I wired up the electrics in the tender and crossed my fingers as I turned her on.
Always love when my installs go right the first time.

Months, and this is all I've managed with art block and outside of art stuff. Better than nothing I suppose.

What's it like working on Metro-North's West of Hudson line? For Line Superintendent Scott Zucker, who is crucial to the Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines' operation, every day is exciting.

Here's how we keep these lines moving with the highest on-time performance in the NJT-operated system.

This friday begins my clubs open house season. If youre in the Long Island, NY area, come by and run some trains!
Its a bit hard to find as the entrance is on the north side of the building in the parking lot.
From the east side, south of tracks, from the west side, north of Subway.

🧵/end. For many years with CSRM's professional staff, I diligently plotted a full exterior re-do of the museum's "Big Four" and Dingley Spice Mill buildings. These wore inferior paint hues and signs until 1998. My plans were executed coincident to Railfair 1999 when CSRM celebrated its origins.

This 1982 photograph shows Pullman 4400 series cars at the New Canaan, CT @MTA.info Metro-North Railroad station. These cars were nicknamed "washboards" because of their fluted stainless steel exteriors. Built in 1954, they ran on the New Haven Line until 1983, when they were replaced by Budd M2s.

Time for another rebuild then...

A fun feature (I think) of this Bachmann Charger is it has a crew alert - if you just let it run with no input for 30 seconds it sounds an alar, and if you STILL don’t do anything it activates the emergency brake (and the beacon flashes!)

Just a fun coincidence, I have two photos of the same locomotive, a P&R Q1b 2-6-4T, taken several years apart. The locomotives operated commuter trains from roughly 1903 until the line was electrified in the 1930s.
