I've done some searching and couldn't find any starter packs for Welsh and Wales-based speculative fiction people. So, I thought I'd try my hand at creating one. If you'd like to be included, give me a nudge.

🚨I am a mother of three children trapped in northern Gaza, in a dangerous combat zone. 💔

We were told to evacuate, but I cannot afford the $3,000 cost.
We are surrounded by constant shelling, and my husband is far away from us.😭

Please, save my children.🙏

In @alhub.bsky.social’s scintillating debut the university town of Aberystwyth is held captive by a violent storm. With weird things happening all over town, Josephine is caught in the middle. But something is watching and it’s about to go walking again... Buy now www.serenbooks.com/book/storm/
This cover shows the clock tower in Aberystwyth standing ominously tall in the midst of a violent storm. A young woman with an umbrella walks along the promenade. The text reads: Storm, Alex Hubbard.

UK cis women, please sign this to acknowledge that trans people are not a threat. (Unless you think they are, in which case you're awful so please fuck off and never come back.) Everybody else, please circulate. 💜

Oh hey bluesky, I need to come up with comp titles for Dominion of the Fallen--they need to be available in trade paperback, published within the last 3-5 years.
Any ideas? I'm coming up blank.

All I think about when reading this is how many jobs the money spent on that pile of brick and glass could have saved in smaller humanities departments - my own colleagues. It’s like building a monument of gold in a landscape of wrack and ruin.

'The gleaming palace to the humanities – the single largest building project ever undertaken by the University of Oxford made possible by the largest philanthropic gift it has ever received – stands in stark contrast to the beleaguered, shrinking state of the rest of the sector.'

Spent my lunch break reading about the Welsh mermaid who apparently turned up at a family's house, rifled through all their stuff, then jumped out the window and disappeared. Magpie mermaids ftw.
