JUST IN: The Republican Mayor of Fairbanks, Alaska’s second biggest city, lost re-election last night to a Democrat.

Mayor David Pruhs is a conservative who fought protections for LGBTQ+ residents; he made comments this year drew condemnation this year from Alaska Natives. He lost to Mindy O'Neall.

If you get the chance, take the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki. It's a two hour journey across the Baltic and if you pay a bit extra you can have an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet when travelling in the morning.

Yeah, apart from anything else it shows that Zelenskyy's putting his own people first, and not impugning their dignity by fluffing up Trump.

Side topic, but what's with the Mail referring to everything as "Soviet" these days? Just the other day they had a headline referring to the thriving democracy that is Estonia as a "Soviet republic."

This may sound like hyperbole, but I've been surprised by the amount of doorknock surveys where people say they're thinking of voting "Green or Reform".

At first I was confused by that, but then realised what they're saying is they're fed up with the usual parties and want something else.

You're not wrong. The Netflix series doesn't seem sure whether it's a biopic, a slasher show or a surrealist art statement, but it fails at all three.

Just been trying out season 3 of the Netflix series Monster - the same one that covered Jeffrey Dahmer and then the Menendez brothers.

For season 3 they're doing Ed Gein and - God, it's dreadful. A confusing, addled, insight-free mess.

I've been to Estonia 3 times. It's a vibrant democracy with great culture. I recall the cocktail bars having renamed the Moscow mules as Kyiv mules.
