If you’re not vaccinated for measles, now is the time. If you’re unsure, talk to your doctor about getting a titre check.

Masks work well against measles, N95 or better!

Mask up to protect yourself, your community and the most vulnerable around you.
My staff and I are closely tracking the potential measles exposure in San Antonio that originated with a visitor from West Texas.

If you visited any of the locations listed below, please watch out for symptoms (including fever or unexplained rash) and contact a doctor right away if they occur.

They were killed in the Eaton fire while waiting for an ambulance that never arrived.

Many disabled people can not evacuate on their own. They need to be included in evacuation plans (yet almost never are)

It's always worth remembering that, fundamentally, 'immunity debt' is a political term, a convenient and media-friendly phrase to explain away what is much more likely to be pathogen-pathogen interaction.

A representative example (SARS-CoV-2 & DENV-2):

SARS-CoV-2 antibodies cross-react and enhance dengue infection
Dengue disease is highly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. However, its pathogenesis is still incompletely understood, particularly in comparison to other endemic viruses. Antib...

Worth reiterating that H5N1 has never behaved like this. Millions of infections in North America combined with what seem to be multiple modes of transmission combined with growing numbers of human infections combined with flu season is a time bomb.

First Avian flu case in Canada, the teen affected went to the ICU. But they aren't using airborne precautions.
So this could spread to any number of health care workers on that unit, and further beyond.
