I don’t want to hear anymore quips or owns or pithy lines. I want Pritzker to stand outside Broadview and demand a tour in the face of tear gas. I want Johnson to show up on Kedzie and tell CPD to stop allowing ICE to escape with people they brutalize then kidnap.

Federal agents have been intimidating us over our reporting since June. Attacks on the press didn't start this month.

In the last several weeks, we've witnessed a horrifying escalation of violence against protesters, neighbors, anyone who comes near these agents. They are out of control.

One thing to bear in mind here is that the union that represents the wide majority of Chicago police earlier this year dedicated the cover and a good chunk of the inside of its magazine for members to praising Tom Homan and ICE.

I’m so struck by this video. A regular day in Logan Square in front of a grocery store and ICE pulls up and tear gassed people. Funston Elementary School is right across the street as well. This is a major corridor in Logan Sq. No concern for human safety

To be clear: Pritzker encouraged this and free, protected movement of ICE when he established an approved “protest zone” that would have allowed free movement of agents and kept protesters kettled.
