History has taught us that this is precisely when Donald Trump is most dangerous — and when Republicans turn to voter suppression, election subversion and worse. With the 2026 midterm elections less than a year away, Trump is already plotting his next moves. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/what...

Dear Bluesky

Zohran Mamdani showed the Democratic party exactly how to win, but I fear they will totally deny the lesson. Meanwhile, ballroom boy has already pivoted to affordability. Please don’t let the old guard lose yet another election due to corruption and incompetence.

Thanks,

God

The real choice Democrats face is not between a continuing resolution that allows the government to function normally or a government shutdown.

Under the Trump regime, the government is not functioning normally. It is already shutting down.

Democrats must not legitimize Trump's coup.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. . .Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

I was the foster mother of the baby who is now my son through kinship adoption, and was offered WIC benefits. There are many foster families who will lose SNAP and WIC at the end of the week in the shutdown. Would love to talk to some affected Maryland families for @thebaltimorebanner.com

Today, the White House Press Secretary told the country that this ridiculous damn ballroom is “the president’s main priority”…not reopening the government, not lowering the cost of groceries, not lowering the cost of housing, not lowering the cost of healthcare….building a ballroom

On this date, Matthew Shephard died 27 years ago. He was beaten, tortured, and left for dead on fence for being gay. Please keep him and his wonderful mother Judy in your thoughts. And let's all work for a world where such horrific things do not happen to anyone. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Oh god, the frogs.
Dearest Martha,

The front lines in Portland remain bleak. Today the local coffee-shop/bookstore/meditation space ran out of oat milk so I had to have soy in my favourite new latte.

And the frogs, Martha. Oh god the frogs.
