My statement on the two year anniversary of October 7, 2023.

“Two years ago today, Hamas carried out a horrific war crime, killing more than 1,100 Israelis and kidnapping 250 more. I mourn these lives and pray for the safe return of every hostage still held and for every family whose lives were torn apart by these atrocities.

I think *some* Mastodon dev work gets paid by the Mastodon GmBH non-profit, as do some of the mods on the flagship mastodon dot social instance. Most independent Mastodon instances basically just run on voluntary donations and prayers though

Scan have said there’s no fault because the system POSTed, despite the actual issue I reported being “system won’t wake from sleep without being power cycled at the PSU repeatedly”. So that’s great

Oh yeah, for context, yeah, ASRock motherboard killed a 9800X3D. Ordered a new one pending sending the old one back (luckily Scan have been decent about it) and it works perfectly in the new ASUS mobo I got, whereas the old one did not. Great times.
